The Jaycees English Medium School (JEMS), is a school in Karkala in the state of Karnataka, India, which was founded in 1980 by Karkala Junior Chamber under the leadership of K. P. Shenoy. This school was first of its kind to introduce English as a medium of instruction in the Taluk. It started off in leased premises of Sri Ananthashayana Temple. However, as the school grew and more and more students enrolled, there were sufficient funds created to construct its own building. The new building formed near Swaraj Maidan on a hill which hosts a beautiful view of Bahubali statue and Ramasamudra. Every year an average of 90 students graduate from this school. The graduation percentage has been consistently maintained at 95% to 98%. This school has a blend of very good teachers equipped with thorough knowledge in fields of Science, Maths, Social Studies and different languages. This school has created best in class students who are now employed in various parts of the world.
